Welcome to Our School

St Briavels Parochial Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School

Welcome to St Briavels Parochial Church of England Primary School. We are a wonderful community school situated in the village of St Briavels. We enjoy a beautiful outlook over the valley and  have an outdoor environment which allows for many  learning opportunities. St Briavels currently has 135 children organised into five mixed age classes as well as our pre-school, Sunflowers, where we take children from 2 years and 6 months old.

St Briavels is part of The Wye Forest Federation which is currently made up of two partner primary schools situated along the Wye Valley on the edge of the Forest of Dean. St Briavels is the larger of the two and is  at the heart of the local community.

We are lucky to have two forest school sites to use as well as our fabulous school field which boasts a variety of dedicated areas including Rhiannon’s Garden, the trim trail and our wild area. Our outdoor space means we can be outdoors learning throughout the year and we have the most amazing view from our playground along the Wye Valley. Throughout the year we are able to hold services in our local church and we welcome members from our local Chapel and Church to lead Open the Book collective worship at the school each week. We have a fabulous school choir who take every opportunity to sing in our local community and the whole school takes part in the village carnival each year.
